This movie goes hard. There isn’t an action movie from the 2010’s that smashes, slashes, or crashes more spectacularly than this one.
So many follow-ups to acclaimed action films are just dumber, watered down versions of their initial outings, and that kept me from seeing this one for a long time. Do not doubt this movie like I did. It is arguably better than the original, with some of the best hand-to-hand fighting filmed in the last decade and a memorable car chase scene that made me forget that I hate watching car chases.
Bonus points for the ending; highly recommended.
